Wedding bells may soon ring for actress-vlogger Kristel Fulgar and her South Korean boyfriend, Ha Su Hyuk, as they officially got engaged.
Fulgar shared a video of the marriage proposal on her YouTube vlog on Friday, Feb. 28, giving a glimpse of Su Hyuk’s preparations for his proposal, including arranging the flowers and balloons in a rooftop, where it took place.
Su Hyuk serenaded the former “Goin’ Bulilit” star before getting on one knee and asking for her hand in marriage.
“I always knew that my [Kristel] would be the last woman I would love. Now, if it weren’t because of you, I wouldn’t know how I would live. You will be my last love. And I’m very sure that you will be the only one that I want to love forever. Also, I want to have a happy family with you. I was not thinking of marriage before but when I met you I became so sure that I want to marry you as soon as possible,” he said in Korean.
The couple then made their kiss for the first time in their relationship in front of Fulgar’s family including her mother and best friend of 15 years.
In the vlog, Su Hyuk also shared that he started to contemplate marrying the former child star at the beginning of the year.
“On the day I shared my past history with her. I had a very hard life when I was younger. She encourages me, and respects me. My life was very hard. My personality is not bad. I tried to improve my life. After sharing that story, I decided that I wanted to marry her,” he shared.
Su Hyuk promised to make Fulgar happy and to never give up on her.
“To take care of her and protect her. I’m thinking that every time she would need my care and help, I’ll try to make her happy and our family. A very important promise I made to her is that I’ll never give up on her. I’ll never change how I treat her,” he expressed.
In February last year, the ex-child star first introduced Su Hyuk as her suitor in one of her vlogs. Nine months later, Fulgar made their relationship official by giving her yes to the South Korean native.
Fulgar, who now speaks fluent Korean, moved to Korea to study and pursue an acting career. In 2023, she won the Global Influencers Award in the said country.
