Sharon Cuneta and Kiko Pangilinan are in grief after their family lost Bacon, their 13-year-old native pot-bellied pig who served as their farm mascot.

Megastar remembered their pet, describing her as their favorite pig in their farm, via the actress-singer’s Instagram page on Tuesday, March 4.

“Our hearts are crying. Our Bacon, suddenly passed away,” Cuneta wrote. “She just refused to wake up that morning, having refused food for a couple of days before then.”

“We love you, our baby girl. Thank you for the love and happiness you gave all of us—even your barkada, our farm dogs,” she continued, recalling how Bacon “forgot” she was a pig and had learned how to bark like their dogs. “We will always remember you.”

Pangilinan, who was among those who were hands-on in caring for Bacon, also mourned the pig’s passing in a separate post.

“On March 1, 2025, Bacon our farm mascot breathed her last. She was 13 years old. Run free in Pig Heaven, Bacon!” he wrote.

Bacon was frequently featured in some of Pangilinan’s social media content. Among the latest ones was a TikTok video of Pangilinan feeding Bacon with organic lettuce, which he said was one of the latter’s favorite snacks.
