Kobe Paras unfollows Kyline Alcantara as his mom Jackie drops cryptic quote

After Kyline Alcantara unfollowed Kobe Paras on Instagram, the basketball player apparently did the same, which further fueled speculations of a falling-out between the pair.

As of Wednesday, April 23, the actress is no longer on Paras’ following list. This came a day after eagle-eyed netizens noticed that Alcantara removed Paras from her following list.

While both Paras and Alcantara have yet to comment on the split speculations, netizens were intrigued after his mom, former actress Jackie Forster, dropped a quote about manipulation.

Forster, whose post incidentally came amid the pair’s rumored split, did not name names although she added the cryptic hashtag “mama with receipts” to her post.

“When someone realizes they can no longer manipulate you, they rewrite the story to protect themselves. Because telling the truth would require them to face the harm they caused and to sit with everything they’ve been avoiding within themselves,” the post read.

It’s easier to deny, deflect and distort than to take accountability. So instead of owning their behavior, they create a version of the story where you’re the problem. But their narrative doesn’t change your reality and your healing doesn’t require their validation,” it further said.

Alcantara has yet to make her side known about the posts.

Paras and Alcantara’s dating status was confirmed by the former in November 2024. They were then hounded by breakup rumors earlier this month after fans noticed that the pair removed from their respective social media platforms their photos together.
