Ahtisa Manalo earns cheers as new Miss Universe Philippines titleholder

Ahtisa Manalo has pageant fans and fellow beauty queens celebrating with her after she clinched the Miss Universe Philippines title.
The MUPH organization marked the Quezon Province representative’s win by showing her looking regal with the “La Mer en Majeste” crown, through its Instagram page on Saturday, May 3.

Among those who extended their congratulatory messages to Manalo was MUPH director and Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up Shamcey Supsup-Lee, who commended the former for her strength and grace.
“Thailand, get ready—she’s going to shine!” Supsup-Lee exclaimed, referring to the international pageant set to be held in November.

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray cheered for the new titleholder, exclaiming “She did it!”

Miss Universe 2012 first runner-up Janine Tugonon also greeted Manalo and looked forward to her international competition.
“Congratulations to our new queen, Ahtisa! Excited for your [Miss Universe] journey,” Tugonon wrote.

“Your Lola will be celebrating with God in Heaven,” Victoria Velasquez Vincent, meanwhile, said. “Congratulations, our new Queen!”

Aside from Manalo, three other candidates were given The Miss Philippines titles during the finals night on Friday, May 2—Sultan Kudarat’s Chelsea Fernandez as The Miss Philippines-Cosmo, Taguig’s Katrina Llegado as The Miss Philippines-Supranational, and Cebu City’s Gabriella Carballo as The Miss Philippines-Eco International.
Teresita Ssen “Winwyn” Marquez of Muntinlupa and Yllana Marie Aduana of Siniloan respectively emerged as the pageant’s first and second runners-up.
