“DUNGKA!”, a song from SB19’s third EP “Simula at Wakas,” has made a strong impression on listeners as it entered Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart.
The track made it to Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart at the seventh spot, making this their third song to achieve the milestone after “Gento” and “DAM.”

“DUNGKA!”, as well as other songs from the EP such as “DAM,” “Time,” “Quit,” “8TonBall,” “and “Shooting for the Stars,” are also included in Billboard Philippines’ Hot 100 charts. The songs ranked 21st, 13th, 35th, 71st, 73th, and the 86th, respectively.
In an exclusive interview with INQUIRER.net, SB19’s Justin explained that “DUNGKA!” is one of the focus tracks from the third EP, and is an apparent play on the phrase “D’un ka.”
“It’s more of our personal message to people na nanggugulo… maraming nanggugulo sa’tin and sa lahat. Pero [para] sa mga hindi gusto ang ginagawa namin, nandyan sila para ubusin ang oras or what [sa pag-hate]. Our message for them is kung hindi mo gusto ‘yung ginagawa namin, wag ka na dito. D’un ka na lang,” he said.
(It’s more of our personal message to those who are messing around with us. A lot of people enjoy messing with us and with others. But to those who don’t like what we do, they are there to waste their time hating. Our message for them is, if you don’t like what we’re doing, get out. Stay in your lane.)
The music video was a star-studded affair as it featured Vice Ganda, Maymay Entrata, Alodia Gosiengfiao, Sassa Gurl, Agnes Reoma, Pat Lasaten, and Mimiyuuuh, to name a few.
“DUNGKA!”, along with other tracks in the “Simula at Wakas” EP, were released in April 2025. The EP marks the end of their EP trilogy, which also consisted of “Pagsibol,” and “Pagtatag!”.
SB19 debuted in October 2018, consisting of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin. The group is set to kick off their “Simula at Wakas” world tour at the Philippine Arena on May 31 and June 1.
