As Krishnah Gravidez is set to compete for the Philippines’ second Miss World crown, the beauty queen looked back at her journey in the global tilt, saying it was “never about being perfect” but about “being fully present.”

Gravidez reflected on her Miss World experience on her Instagram page on Friday, May 30, as she noted it as a journey of navigating the global tilt with “humor [and] humility” and being human.

“It was never about being perfect. It’s about being fully present — with humor, humility, and simply being human. This journey has led to over a hundred friendships in every corner of the world, and I truly believe that is the heart of it all,” she said.

The beauty queen said her journey was about forging “connections,” and it made her realize the beauty of going for her dreams and helping others at the same time. “The connection. The meaningful conversations — or even the silly ones. The little pieces of yourself you give to each person you meet.”

“[Miss World] is such a one-of-a-kind platform, where you gather vibrant, colorful pieces from others, and somehow, they complement who you are,” she continued. “They add value, depth, and perspective. Maybe this is what it’s all about, chasing dreams while helping others along the way.”

Giving a shout-out to fellow candidates Monica Sembiring (Indonesia) and Nandini Gupta (India), Gravidez said being in the company of fellow candidates has been a blessing for her.

“I am truly, eternally blessed to be surrounded by 107 uniquely empowered and inspirational women,” she said. “You have my heart. I love you all so much. And please save a space for me when I visit your home! For now, Telangana is stealing our hearts. From Telangana to the World.”

In a separate post on Saturday, May 31, Gravidez expressed her excitement for the global tilt while sharing photos of herself wearing the crown from her national pageant.

“We write our own story, yet destiny always finds a way to unveil life in its most beautiful form,” she wrote. “Today, the world unites to celebrate culture, beauty, and purpose. From wildest dreams to greatest realities, it all leads to this moment. Para sa inyo. Para sa bansa. Para sa lahat ng nangangarap (This is for our country. This is for the dreamers),” she wrote.

Gravidez is considered one of the top choices to win the Miss World crown. She qualified for the Top 32 of the Sports Challenge, Top 24 of the Talent Challenge, and Top 5 of Asia & Oceania for the Multimedia Challenge.

Reigning titleholder Krystyna Pyszková will pass her crown to her successor at the Miss World coronation night on May 31 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Telangana, India.  /ra
