Beauty queen Catriona Gray and Pasig City mayor-elect Vico Sotto have started following each other on Instagram, sparking excitement among their fans.
The Instagram follow and follow-back were noticed by their respective followers on Sunday, June 8.

Neither Gray nor Sotto have stated if they have a possible project or engagement in the works, but that didn’t stop netizens from noting how they would match as a potential pair.
Mainly, “shippers” praised Sotto’s public service initiatives and Gray’s beauty and intelligence. Incidentally, the two are of the same faith, as both are born-again Christians.
“Shippers,” in urban slang, are those who express hope or support a romantic relationship, or think that certain people look good together or should end up together. The term comes from the word relationship.

The Miss Universe 2018 titleholder was previously in a relationship with actor-singer Sam Milby, and they were supposed to tie the knot sometime in 2024. Rumors of their separation then followed, until Milby confirmed in February 2025 that they had already parted ways.
The “Pinoy Big Brother” alum also clarified that there was no third party involved in his breakup with Gray.
Meanwhile, Sotto has long been mum about his personal life, stating that getting into a relationship is not his priority on multiple occasions.
His mother, screen veteran Coney Reyes, said in September 2024 that she does not meddle in the Pasig City Mayor’s personal affairs. Sotto is Reyes’ son with veteran actor-comedian Vic Sotto. /edv
