Davao Province’s Katrina Johnson and Siargao’s Kathleen Espenido are considered among the favorites to clinch a crown at the 2025 edition of the Binibining Pilipinas tilt by pageant observer Missosology.
The Mindanaoan beauties were picked as the two candidates at the top of the international pageant observer Missosology’s final hot picks list, as seen on its social media platforms on Saturday, June 14.
Rounding up the Top 10 are Annabelle Mae McDonnell (Iligan City), Dalia Varde Khattab (Las Piñas), Joanne Marie Thornley (Pampanga), Francesca Beatriz Alvalajon (Aklan Province), Jercy Raine Cruz (Makati City), Jeanette Reyes (Batangas), Jeremi Nuqui (Caloocan), and Vivian Hernandez (Valenzuela).
Johnson and Espenido are familiar names among pageant fans, having earned the Binibining Pilipinas 2023 runner-up and Miss FIT (Face, Intelligence, Tone) Philippines titles, respectively.
Thirty-six candidates — including seven pageant veterans — are competing for the Miss International and Miss Globe titles at the 61st edition of Binibining Pilipinas at the Araneta Coliseum on June 14. The coronation will start at 8 p.m., while a TV5 telecast will be at 9:30 p.m. on the same evening.
The national tilt will culminate with reigning Binibining Pilipinas – International Myrna Esguerra and Binibining Pilipinas – Globe Jasmin Bungay passing their crowns to their respective successors.
Joining the reigning titleholders in their farewell walks are first runner-up Christal Jean dela Cruz and second runner-up Trisha Martinez. /edv
