It may be SB19’s first time to perform in Taiwan’s annual HITO Music Awards, but Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin showed no signs of nervousness as they stunned viewers with a fiery set.
The P-pop powerhouse performed their songs “Gento,” “DAM,” and “DUNGKA!” at the Taiwan-based music awards show on Saturday, June 21, at the Taipei Arena in Taipei, Taiwan.
The quintet was also joined by Taiwanese boy group Ozone during their set, where they performed the track “World Top.” The Taiwan-based group was formed through the survival show “Atom Boyz.”
SB19 is the only Filipino act in the lineup, and is also the first Filipino artist to appear at the history of the awards ceremony.
The P-pop group also thanked the awards ceremony’s organizers for giving them an opportunity to perform.
“We finally hit the stage at HIT FM! Thank you for making the stage burn even hotter and brighter for us,” their post read.
Other artists who performed at the ceremony were FEniX and VERA, to name a few.
Aside from the HITO Music Awards, SB19 is currently in Taiwan for their “Simula at Wakas” world tour, scheduled for June 29 at Zepp New Taipei, in New Taipei, Taiwan.
The quintet kicked off their “Simula at Wakas” tour at the Philippine Arena on May 31 and June 1, where they performed the songs from their third EP, as well as their hits such as “Gento,” “Mapa,” and “Crimzone,” among others. /edv
