“Because it is difficult—when you declare support for a candidate, those who do not support them might say something unfavorable toward you based on their beliefs,” he added.

Despite this, Trillo extended his message to voters.

“This is a chance for your decisions to be heard, for you to exercise your right in voting for those who will lead the country. Use it wisely because this opportunity only comes often,” he stated.

“Maximize it. Choose carefully the candidates who will really help the country,” he added.

Aside from Trillo, several celebrities have also been vocal in reminding the public to vote wisely. Among them were Jake Ejercito who reiterated to his fellow voters that their loyalty should lie with the country and not with politicians seeking to be elected.

Actress Nadine Lustre also made a plea to the public to be mindful of a candidate’s track record, and to choose a leader who knows how to listen and who truly cares for everyone.  /ra
