Celebrities Kim Chiu, Darren Espanto and Bea Binene were among the early celebrities who cast their votes on Monday morning, May 12, for this year’s Philippine midterm elections.
Chiu, Espanto and Binene took to social media to share a photo of their inked fingers as they encouraged fellow Filipinos to exercise their right to vote.
Chiu reminded her followers that the first step toward meaningful change is knowing how to vote wisely.
“Change doesn’t happen overnight but it starts with one vote. Yours. VOTE WISELY. Let’s build a stronger nation and pray for good governance,” wrote the actress-host.

Meanwhile, Anne Curtis’ husband, content creator Erwan Heussaff, reflected on the significance of civic duty after casting his vote.
“Like most of you, I don’t know how much this vote will count, but it’s still important to do it. Imagine each vote as an invitation to someone you’d want to host at home for a dinner party. The list will quickly write itself,” he wrote.
