The jumpsuit is the Philippines’ entry to the “Fashion of the World” showcase of the international pageant this year, and Gravidez will wear it in the “Top Model” event later tonight.
More than 100 delegates from countries and territories around the world will compete at the fashion extravaganza, one of the “fast-track” events where the winner earns an automatic entry to the quarterfinals for the race to the crown.
The Miss World Top Model final will be held at the Hyderabad International Convention and Exhbition Center (HITEX) in Hyderabad in the state of Telangana tonight, May 24. Fans in the Philippines may catch it at 9:30 PM on the Miss World YouTube channel.
Megan Young ranked first in the Top Model event before she won the Miss World crown, the first for the Philippines, in the 2013 competition in Indonesia.
Gravidez has so far made it to the Top 32 of the Sports Challenge won by Estonia’s Eliise Randmaa, and the Top 24 of the Talent Challenge won by Indonesia’s Monica Kezia Sembiring.
The 72nd Miss World Festival’s coronation ceremonies will be held at HITEX on May 31. Czech beauty Krystyna Pyszkova will crown her successor at the end of the competition. /jpv
