Song Joong-ki wants to bring wife, kids to the Philippines for vacation

Song Joong-ki is embracing his role as a family man, as he shared that he wants to bring his family to the Philippines to visit the country’s beautiful islands and public markets.
The Korean star said that he’s looking forward to coming back to the Philippines with his family, as his current visit is only for a short while.
“I have never been here before. Only 15 years ago, I was in Cebu for vacation. But Manila, I never have been. So I just wanted to visit here. But sadly, tomorrow I have to leave. So I don’t have time to enjoy it. So next time I really want to come here for a family vacation. Because I heard there are many beautiful islands. I want to visit some paradise,” he told the members of the press on Saturday afternoon, May 24, ahead of his first fan meeting in Manila.
Song shared that he and his wife, British actress Katy Louise Saunders, with whom he shares two kids, have Filipino friends in Rome and Korea, so they have always perceived Filipinos as “kind and friendly.”
“Actually, I have some Philippine friends in Korea. And when I stay in Italy with my wife, we have some Philippine friends there too. So the Philippine people for us, the image of the Philippine people is so kind always and friendly. So when I had that interview, I was telling myself that I really want to go to the Philippines because I have a good image from some of my friends,” he said.

The “Descendants of the Sun” actor noted that he wants to visit supermarkets and buy local biscuits to bring back to Korea.
Song, who is now the new ambassador for a local health and wellness brand, remarked that his idea of healing and happiness is his family.
“Recently, I feel really healed when I spent time with the babies. When there’s no schedule, I try to spend time with my family. That’s when I feel like my life is balanced,” he said.
The Hallyu A-lister was also surprised to learn that his Filipino fans’ favorite project of his is “Vincenzo.”
“Okay, I will call my writer. He has to write a Vincenzo season 2 soon, okay? And it’s shooting in the Philippines, right? Looking forward to that,” he said.
Song made his acting debut in 2008 with the film “A Frozen Flower.” Aside from the aforementioned, he is also known for his leading roles in “Reborn Rich,” “The Innocent Man,” and “Arthdal Chronicles,” among others.
