As this year’s Cannes Film Festival concluded another edition, more Filipino celebrities noticeably have made their appearance at the prestigious international entertainment spectacle. Aside from promoting the premiere screening of Filipino films, many of these homegrown talents came as endorsers of fashion brands.
Check out this list to see them heat up the Cannes red carpet and join the fashion elite.
Pia Wurtzbach
Business in front, party in the back. This summed up the old Hollywood elegance that the Miss Universe 2015 titleholder radiated with in her black velvet long-sleeved gown by Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad. The bodice of the high-neckline dress is embellished with pearls and rhinestone crystals, and made dramatic by an open back.

Wurtzbach also turned heads with another look, this time a simple— but not less dramatic— strapless black velvet gown featuring a flowing, mermaid-style ruched satin skirt adorned with black flowers at the back.

Sylvia Sanchez
After three years of coming back and forth to Cannes as a producer, Sanchez marked a milestone as she walked the red carpet alongside her team after one of the films co-produced by her film studio was selected as part of this year’s Cannes Main Competition slate.
The film “Renoir” is a collaboration between the Philippines, France, Japan, Singapore, and Indonesia.
The actress-producer donned a black Filipiniana on the main red carpet. During the “Renoir” Q&A, Sanchez wore a deep blue Filipiniana.

Summers made history as the first Filipino drag queen to grace the red carpet of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. She radiated confidence and elegance in her one-shoulder sequined black gown, complemented by chain-link earrings.
Summers also had a fangirl moment with Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie after the latter took a moment to compliment the appearance of the Philippine pride, who was wearing a gold pleated gown for her second look.

Chelsea Manalo
Without breaking the festival’s new dress code, Miss Universe 2025 – Asia Chelsea Manalo treaded the high-fashion world with her couture yellow fan gown by Michael Cinco, made dramatic by an extravagant one-shoulder collar. This marked Manalo’s Cannes red carpet debut, and she dedicated the moment to “every Filipino who dared to dream.”
“Walking the red carpet at Cannes still feels like a dream, one that I manifested, believed in, and held close to my heart. I’ve always trusted that everything happens for a reason, and this journey to France has proven just that,” she wrote on her Instagram post.

Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano
The two-week festival served as a sort of honeymoon for the celebrity couple as they blended work and vacation together. Gonzaga shared a glimpse of their Cannes trip on her Instagram page. Some of the images showed the couple dining in restaurants in France. They also took a snapshot at the symbol of Cannes. The actress-host was also captured wearing her festival ID.
In one of her videos, she was wearing a simple black long gown with quarter sleeves and a modest neckline when she accompanied her husband in the screening of “Magellan,” a film entry directed by Lav Diaz.
