“Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11” Big Winner Fyang Smith said that performing for her fans and loved ones made her realize that she has the potential to shine as a singer.
Smith recently celebrated the release of her debut EP “Forever Fyang” with a launch event at the New Frontier Theater, which was graced by Regine Velasquez, P-pop boy group 1621, Rain Celmar, Kolette Madelo, Kai Montinola, and her onscreen partner JM Ibarra.
Her EP contains the tracks “Tayo Hanggang Dulo,” “Clingy AF,” “MISHU – Nasaan si Fyang?”, “Kaya Mo Ba,” and “Para Shoot.”
“My love for singing started when people around me believed when I can sing. From then, that’s when I started with the production of my album launch,” Smith told reporters after her launch event ended. “I can’t believe that I was able to pull off my album launch. Everything was worth it. The pressure was immense and I was so nervous.”

The “PBB” alum was initially nervous while preparing for the launch, but seeing the support of her loved ones and fans gave her the boost that she needed.
“I was shaking when I first stepped onstage. But when I saw the support, it felt so nice and the fans became my motivation. I see my fans as my friends. It was my dad’s first time to also see me perform. He came home from another country.,” she said.
One of the highlights of the launch was her duet with Ibarra where their performance of “Tayo Hanggang Dulo” was met with loud cheers from their fans. Another noteworthy moment was her fans chanting Ibarra’s name after she performed “Para Shoot.”

Beyond their onscreen chemistry, Smith said she didn’t feel nervous singing with Ibarra as they are already used performing together. “It’s in my and JM’s nature to perform in front of other people,” she said.
Before her album launch, the “PBB” alum shared that her leading man even came up to her dressing room to express his support.
“We don’t have the same dressing room, but he went to my dressing room where I told him that I’ve been nervous. He told me, why are you nervous? You can do it. He helps me feel more confident,” Smith said.
Smith, who is reigning Big Winner of the hit reality show, is set to join forces with Ibarra in the upcoming digital series “Ghosting.”
