Chito Miranda addressed fellow voters and called for support for senatorial aspirant Kiko Pangilinan who, he said, is qualified for a seat in the Senate despite his “corny” posts on social media.
The Parokya ni Edgar frontman declared his endorsement of Pangilinan, his uncle, through his Instagram page on Thursday, May 8.
Miranda noted how Pangilinan along with his fellow senatorial candidate Bam Aquino has been leading the senatorial surveys in some of the top universities in the Philippines.
“Sana all.
Miranda then expressed hope that the country will be led by upright government officials.
Wala siyang bahid ng kurapsyon ever since.”
Miranda further argued how critics of Pangilinan only take notice of the politician’s “corny” social media posts because they have nothing to say against him with regards to his performance as a public official.
The musician also underscored Pangilinan’s platforms that focus on agriculture and food seurity.
